Terms & Conditions
Last updated 12 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Crowd Before for using crowdbefore.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them, especially the parts about what the results are and are not.
1. The service
Crowd Before lets you describe a business idea and see how a large crowd of simulated buyers reacts to it. You get a verdict and a report covering, among other things, who might buy, what to charge and which competitors matter.
2. What the results are, and are not
Reports are produced by simulation and AI models from the information you provide. They are a fast way to find questions worth testing. They are not real market research, financial, legal or investment advice, and they do not guarantee that any idea will succeed or fail.
Results can contain mistakes. Before you make important decisions, check them with real customers and, where it matters, a qualified professional. You are responsible for the decisions you make.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give a real email address.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One free idea is available per person. Creating extra accounts to get more free runs is not allowed.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Credits and payments
- Your first idea is free, with a partly locked report. Everything else is paid for with credits, bought once through a plan or as single credits. There is no subscription.
- Credits are spent when you run an idea, unlock a full report or run a what-if. The current costs are shown on the Pricing page.
- Credits do not expire, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
- Prices are shown before you pay, and we may change them for future purchases. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments.
5. Refunds
If a run fails because of a problem on our side, the credits it used are returned to your account automatically.
Because credits give you instant access to a digital service, purchases are generally not refundable once credits have been used. If something went wrong, contact our contact form and we will look at it fairly. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law.
6. Your ideas and content
Your ideas are yours. You keep all rights to what you put in and to the reports made for you. You give us permission to process your content only as needed to run the service for you.
Only submit content you have the right to use, and do not include other people's personal data or confidential information you are not allowed to share.
7. Fair use
Please do not:
- break the law or use the service to harm, deceive or harass anyone;
- try to get around credits, limits or locks, or access other people's accounts or data;
- copy, resell or scrape the service, or use it to build a competing product;
- overload, probe or disrupt the service, or upload anything malicious.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
8. Our service and brand
The Crowd Before website, software, design and brand belong to us. These terms do not give you any rights to them beyond using the service as intended.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Crowd Before running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may improve, change or retire features. If we make a change that significantly affects paid features, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, or for decisions you make based on a report. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend access if you break these terms. Unused credits are not refunded when an account is closed for breaking these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell you by email or on the site. Continuing to use Crowd Before after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the country where we are established, without limiting any mandatory rights you have where you live. Questions? Contact our contact form.
